Warehouse Operative*
*Location:* Newick, Lewes
*Employment Type:* Full-Time
We are currently seeking a proactive and dependable Warehouse Operative to join our team based in Newick, Lewes. Reporting directly to the Head of Quality within the Procurement Team, this role is essential in supporting both our production and aftersales functions, ensuring the efficient and accurate handling of materials and stock.
This is a hands-on position ideal for someone who is organised, adaptable, and keen to play a part in a growing and collaborative business.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Receiving, checking, and storing incoming deliveries
* Picking and preparing materials and components for manufacturing orders
* Preparing components for spare parts and service kits for customer orders
* Conducting regular stock takes and cycle counts
* Accurately recording stock movements using our MRP system
* Operating a counterbalance forklift truck (training provided if necessary)
* Maintaining a clean and safe working environment
* Attending key meetings to report on warehouse activities
* Supporting other departments when required
*Person Specification:*
* High attention to detail with an organised approach to work
* Experience in a warehouse, logistics, or stock control role is essential
* Working knowledge of MRP systems (MRPeasy desirable)
* Forklift (counterbalance) licence preferred – training available if needed
* Comfortable undertaking manual handling tasks
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Able to work effectively both independently and within a team
* Positive, flexible attitude to work
