We are seeking compassionate and knowledgeable Special Needs Specialists to support students in schools around Feltham with a variety of additional learning needs on a temporary basis. This role is ideal for someone passionate about inclusion and committed to helping young people achieve their full potential, with the flexibility of either daily supply or longer-term work up to 6 weeks, 5 days a week.
Duties as a Special Needs Specialist:
* Provide targeted support for students with special educational needs (SEN) across a range of subjects.
* Work closely with classroom teachers, the SENCo and external professionals to plan and implement individual education plans (IEPs).
* Adapt learning materials and strategies to meet individual student requirements.
* Offer one-to-one or small-group interventions to support academic progress and emotional well-being.
* Promote a positive, inclusive environment within the school.
Ideal Special Needs Specialist:
* Proven experience supporting young people with SEN (e.g. ASD, ADHD, SEMH) in a school or similar setting.
* Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies and SEN best practices.
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, parents and external agencies Special Needs Specialist.
* Relevant qualifications, such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant certificate, SEN specialism, or equivalent experience.
