Overview
As the Regimental Policy Manager for the Royal Regiment of Artillery you will support the delivery of activities that commemorate Royal Artillery events as well as provide engagement with the serving, retired and civilian communities. You will provide advice and policy mentorship, on all matters associated within Regimental Headquarters Royal Artillery (RHQ RA), and to the wider Regiment, and ensure that the publications conform to MOD Policy Guidance and Direction.
Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee RA publications including Standing Orders ensuring accurate detail and compliance with current Policy and, including all elements of RA Dress, coordinating all relevant customers
* Coordinate the Royal Artillery Sports Board, maintaining a record of all sports contacts together with key achievements. Collate and analyse sports reports and bids for the following year for regimental funds, (circa £200K) providing a draft to the Sports Board for allocation
* Coordinate all sporting expenditure throughout the year including ‘Gunner’ Sport
* Coordinate the RHQ RA contribution to Op BRIDGE, (the national planning for the death of a member of the Royal Family)
* Coordinate the provision of musical support to all Gunner events, in accordance with MOD Policy
* Recommend on the integration of the King’s Gurkha Artillery into the RA including the policies on welfare, and charitable support, to Gurkha personnel and integration with the Gurkha Welfare Trust
* Coordinate RA Institution matters in the headquarters. To include the generation and execution of grant policy, processing of grant applications and delivery of budgetary procedures. Coordinate regimental policy, heritage, custom and practice and continuity across the Regimental headquarters. Provide advice and policy guidance, on all matters associated with the RHQ RA and the wider Regiment
* Provide wider advice on Ceremonial and Dress Policy. Support all aspects of routine events
* Coordinates the RA Honours and Awards
* Point of Contact for RA funeral and memorials in the Garrison Church.
