Overview
Interviews will be conducted onsite. 2nd shift: Monday to Thursday 3:00 pm to 1:30 am.
Responsibilities
* Perform pre-operation machine inspections; load screws and hinges.
* Sort and push door stacks down conveyor tracks; use mallet to loosen doors.
* Load hinge machine with bifold door panels for hinging; inspect and ensure hardware is aligned and applied correctly prior to push off.
* Pull off callboards, change bits, restock rails, and assist as needed.
* Direct rejected doors to repair and remakes requests.
* Follow LOTO procedures and use an air gun during cleanup.
* Read/interpret tickets and schedules; maintain strong knowledge of door species/core; perform visual quality checks.
* Operate bifold machine; repair doors with putty and putty knife; touch up paint; use sanding paper.
* Read a tape to 1/32 of an inch for the bifold machine; adhere to quality standards.
* Work with minimal supervision while maintaining output to keep packaging stocked with doors.
* Ensure all doors are machined correctly to customer specifications and quality expectations.
Qualifications / Requirements
* Ability to lift up to 80 lbs, bending, twisting while carrying product, stooping, pushing, and long periods of standing.
* Ability to read and interpret tickets/schedules; perform quality visual checks; understand door specifications.
* Strong attention to measurement accuracy and quality of doors.
Work Environment & Expectations
Fast to slow production pace depending on demand levels, with a continuous focus on measurement accuracy and visual quality inspection of doors. Minimal communication required upstream or downstream.
