Description Are you a highly organised and detail-oriented leader with a passion for security and loss prevention? Next is looking for a Crime Centre Manager to lead and manage our dedicated team, providing vital Loss Prevention and Security support to all our Retail sites. In this crucial role, you'll be at the heart of our Retail Loss Prevention Crime Centre, overseeing day-to-day operations. This includes managing live and retrospective CCTV patrols and reviews, meticulously reviewing evidential investigation packs (both internal and external), and acting as a key liaison with retail sites, operational colleagues, the police, crime reduction partnerships, other retailers, and suppliers. You'll also be responsible for providing confidential Loss Prevention updates to senior management. We're looking for someone with excellent written and verbal communication, observational, and customer service skills, coupled with a professional telephone manner. Comprehensive experience working with CCTV, and Microsoft and Google suites is essential. As Crime Centre Manager, you'll ensure all information is handled with the utmost confidentiality, integrity, and accuracy, adhering strictly to Company and GDPR policies. You'll also play a vital role in providing a top-notch front-of-house customer service experience, prioritising the Health & Safety and security of the site, and escalating any incidents appropriately. Collaboration is key, and you'll be assisting the retail Loss Prevention field team and wider team as required. You’ll be linking and coordinating intelligence and crime, along with driving a positive atmosphere and providing end to end communication across all functions. This role is primarily indoors within a fully equipped control room, working as part of a dedicated team of operators. You'll need to be open and willing to undertake new training across group functions to ensure we can manage workload demands by redeploying staff as necessary to meet business requirements. You will: Lead and manage a team of Crime Centre Operators, both in person and remotely. Ensure all staff, visitors, and contractors understand their safety and security obligations within the Crime Centre. Work closely with the Regional Loss Prevention Manager to ensure effective operation of the Crime Centre. Work with industry colleagues and peers to shape best practice and share appropriate information Submit detailed and comprehensive reports using various IT systems. Drive the operation and monitoring of all retail sites’ CCTV and incident management Work with departmental contractors and suppliers when on-site. Meet agreed performance standards set by the Regional Loss Prevention Manager and provide business updates. Monitor and record incident/accident details for LP/operational management in line with company procedures. Ensure evidential material is easily accessible and admissible. Maintain contact with teams at incident scenes to ensure staff safety. Actively demonstrate a people-focused culture in line with company values. Maintain the highest level of confidentiality. Assess and prioritise workload effectively. Identify and meet training and education needs for all relevant team members.
