What Will You Be Responsible For?
As a Design Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in our Structural and Geotechnical Engineering team, supporting infrastructure projects for esteemed clients like the Environment Agency, Severn Trent, and the Mining Remediation Authority.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
* Reviewing and agreeing on technical requirements, ensuring clarity and understanding
* Contributing to the development of fee proposals
* Leading the daily workload of engineers and technical staff, ensuring compliance with design remits
* Maintaining adherence to legal requirements and company policies, including CDM Regulations and Quality Management Systems
* Contributing to financial and commercial project management, including progress monitoring and value engineering
What Are We Looking For?
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* Experience in design delivery, with the ability to manage uncertainty and technical risk
* Relevant postgraduate experience in hydraulic structures and river engineering, or similar
* A drive towards becoming a Chartered or Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (e.g., CEng MICE)
* A valid driving license for site visits
