Workshop Engineer (Mechanical or Electrical)
Dursley - Workshop-based - Days, M-F - Full time, permanent - £30,000 to £40,000 DOE + benefits
Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit a Workshop Engineer to support refurbishment, maintenance and repair of specialist vehicles and associated equipment.
This role is suited to a practical, hands-on engineer with either mechanical or electrical experience, looking to develop within a specialist fleet environment.
Key responsibilities
* Carry out mechanical and/or electrical engineering work on specialist vehicles
* Support full refurbishment and rebuild projects
* Diagnose faults and carry out robust repairs
* Install, modify and maintain vehicle systems and components
* Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics and job packs
* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard with a focus on safety and quality
The Person
* Experience in a workshop or engineering environment
* Mechanical and/or electrical skillset
* Ability to fault-find and carry out repairs independently
* Strong attention to detail and problem-solving mindset
Desirable
* Engineering qualification (Mechanical, Electrical or similar)
* Experience with vehicles, plant or heavy equipment
* Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics or auto electrics
