The Laundry is Brixton’s favourite all-day dining restaurant, bar, cafe, and wine shop, known for its Saturday brunches and Sunday roasts. Founded by award-winning chef and Sommelier Melanie Brown, The Laundry offers a unique dining experience inspired by Melanie’s Swiss and New Zealand heritage.
Housed in the historic Edwardian building, Walton Lodge, the restaurant blends historical charm with modern dining. The Laundry offers both alfresco and indoor dining, and caters to events of all sizes, from intimate dinners to large gatherings and creative pop-up restaurants.
Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Brixton for both Junior and Senior Sous Chefs. The Sous Chef will assist with daily kitchen operations, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Responsibilities also include managing kitchen staff, ensuring food quality and safety standards, and assisting in the development of new menu items. The role involves working closely with the Head Chef and maintaining the kitchen's efficiency and organization.
