St Joseph's Catholic High School are looking to recruit a business administrator to join their team! Within this role you will provide high-quality administrative support across the school office, including general administration, reception duties and attendance monitoring. This is a developmental role aimed at building skills and experience in school business administration. This position is for an immediate start. Key Responsibilities Administrative Support Assist with general office duties including filing, photocopying, data entry and managing correspondence Support the preparation of documents, newsletters and reports as directed Maintain accurate and up-to-date records using school-information systems Provide support for school events, trips and meetings, including bookings and logistics Reception duties Welcome visitors, parents and pupils in a professional and courteous manner Answer incoming telephone calls, take messages and respond to queries or redirect as appropriate Ensure safeguarding procedures are followed for all visitors and deliveries Manage incoming and outgoing post / central office email account Other Take all decisions in line with the vison and values of the school and encourage others to do the same Keep records in accordance with the school's record retention schedule and data protection law, ensuring information security and confidentiality at all times Support the data protection officer with ensuring data protection compliance and helping the school community understand how to comply with data protection law Contribute to and support the overall work, aims and ethos of the school Undertake additional duties as reasonable requested by the head teacher Participate and engage in training and appraisal as required To respect confidentiality at all times Skills & Personal Qualities Good written and verbal communication skills Strong attention to detail and accuracy Friendly and professional manner Good ICT skills Able to maintain confidentiality Working Hours Monday - Friday: 8am-4pm Annual Leave Entitlement 5.6 Weeks Qualifications Maths and English GCSE (or equivalent) at Grade C/4 or above Benefits
