We currently have an opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. This position within our MEP engineering team will suit a committed and ambitious engineer who can demonstrate good communication and interpersonal skills combined with the ability to play their part in a dynamic high-performance team. The Mechanical Engineer will work with a team of engineers producing the design delivery of allocated MEP Projects as instructed by the projects Lead MEP Engineer. The Mechanical Engineer’s main duties will be the production of MEP designs as instructed by the projects Contractors Responsible Engineer (CRE) and/or Lead Engineer and to be responsible for: Ensuring designs are completed to meet CRE/Lead Engineers requirements. Ensuring designs are completed to the timescales agreed with the CRE/Lead Engineer. Planning the allocated design works to meet the agreed timescales. Identify changes to the projects client requirements and raise the changes with the CRE/Lead Engineer. Essential Flexibility in working hours will be required to meet the demands of the role Ability to travel to client sites and other SYSTRA offices will be required Knowledge of mechanical services design within the built environment or transport infrastructure including HVAC, Public Health, Building Physics and BIM Knowledge of multi-disciplinary issues associated with M&E and building services Knowledge of construction principles and standards Experience of BIM. Experience in the use of Hevacomp and/or Thermal Modelling Design Software. Good communication and presentation skills. A self-motivated team player able to work with minimal supervision. Desirable Able to undertake overseas assignments where required Qualified to HNC or equivalent This role requires a good understanding of CSM/CDM regulations and requirements (internal training will be provided).
