Norwich City services is a trusted provider of maintenance and repair services across the social housing and commercial area, providing repairs to domestic, commercial, and historical heritage buildings whilst working with our key stake holders to deliver safe, high quality electrical services.
About the Role?
The role involves leading the delivery of electrical maintenance and upgrade projects for domestic properties, ensuring full compliance with safety legislation and quality standards. It requires active participation in a high-performing team, promoting collaborative culture, excellence in design, and continuous service improvement. The post-holder will supervise and develop staff, contribute to recruitment, training and performance reviews, and support operational and financial targets through effective monitoring and reporting. Responsibilities also include maintaining regulatory accreditation (such as NICEIC), supporting energy efficiency initiatives, coordinating health and safety risk assessments, and fostering strong relationships with stakeholders. Upholding confidentiality, promoting equality, and covering broader operational duties when needed are key, alongside a commitment to the core values of NCSL and its partnership with Norwich City Council.
The ideal candidate is a qualified electrical professional with substantial experience in supervising domestic electrical works and managing teams to high standards. They hold City & Guilds certifications including the 18th Edition and Test & Inspection qualifications (or equivalents) and demonstrate deep knowledge of Health and Safety regulations. Comfortable working independently in challenging environments such as at height or in confined spaces, they possess strong analytical, decision-making, and report-writing skills. With a commitment to quality, customer service, and continuous improvement, they’re well-organised, adaptable, and collaborative, capable of interpreting electrical schematics and thriving under pressure. A proactive team player and effective communicator, they’re also willing to travel across East Anglia and embrace training opportunities as part of their professional development.

This role is for 37 hours per week, but to ensure flexibility and promote an inclusive workplace part time hours or a job share agreement will be considered.

City & Guilds 2391 - Test & Inspection Qualification or Equivalent
