E,C&I Engineer – Energy From Waste Excellent salary on offer bonus further benefits Kemsley, Kent Talent Resource Group (TRG) are currently recruiting for an Electrical, Controls and Instrumentaiton Engineer to join the maintenance department of an energy from waste power station in Kemsley, Kent. This plant processes over 650,000 tonnes of non-recyclable waste per year producing in excess of 70MW for the grid, enough to power more than 160,000 homes. As the EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for all maintenance and engineering aspects associated with the sites electrical, controls and instrumentation equipment to maintain high plant availability and minimise downtime. As the EC&I Engineer you will be responsible for: * Supervising and managing a small team of Technicians responsible for planned and reactive maintenance work across the site * Promoting general safety within the maintenance department and within the contractors employed by then. This includes the approval of safe systems of work * Working with the Mechanical Engineer and Maintenance Manager in the planning and execution of planned and unplanned outages / shutdowns * Using the site CMMS to ensure a strong prioritisation of preventative maintenance * Supporting the development and implementation of maintenance strategies, system upgrades and capital projects * Managing supervising on site contractors To be considered for this role you should have: * A time served apprenticeship in electrical/electronic engineering or similar along with an HND/HNC level qualification * A minimum of 5 years post apprenticeship experience in an electrical or C&I maintenance or engineering function in a heavy engineering or process environment – power station, paper mill, chemical plant etc * A thorough understanding of engineering and maintenance principles associated with EC&I assets found on a modern day EFW plant including DCS, SCADA, PLCs, switchgear and instrumentation * Experience leading and managing small teams of technicians Salary & benefits * A competitive basic salary depending on experience * A performance related bonus up to 15% * Private medical and dental cover * Overtime * Company pension * The chance to join a leading business in the EFW industry To apply If you are interested in this role, please apply via the link below or contact Steve Utton at TRG on the contact info below: Phone - (phone number removed)
