Client Accounting Manager
Manchester City Centre – Up to £55,000

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, manage and develop a small Client Accounts team
* Oversee all tenancy rental collection and credit control, targeting <2% arrears
* Manage rental insurance claims and maintain strong relationships with third‑party insurers
* Process service charges and client costs through the CRM system
* Ensure accurate client statements and payments in line with internal SOPs
* Reconcile all client accounts and TDS deposit ledgers with the CRM
* Use Barclays.net to generate daily landlord bulk payments
* Ensure all agency fees are correctly generated, charged and reported
* Produce weekly and monthly income reports for the Directors
* Support annual ARLA Propertymark audits and AML responsibilities
* Collaborate closely with Sales, Property Management and other internal teams
* Assess team capability immediately and support recruitment of junior accounts staff
* Contribute to process improvement and potential software upgrades
What We’re Looking For:
* Minimum 3 years’ experience in a client accounting role, ideally within lettings
* Strong understanding of lettings regulations, client money handling and industry standards
* Confident managing arrears, reconciliations, service charges and landlord accounts
* Intermediate Excel skills and strong general Microsoft Office knowledge
* Experience supporting or leading junior team members
* Excellent communication skills and a positive, solutions‑focused attitude
* Highly organised, able to prioritise effectively and thrive in a fast‑paced environment
