Are you ready to take your management skills to the next level? As a Logistics Supervisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our delivery and logistics operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will be the driving force behind coordinating daily logistics requirements, supervising staff and vehicles, and working closely with both internal teams and third-party providers to deliver outstanding service to our clients.
In this dynamic role, you will manage the logistics workflow, monitor delivery performance, and troubleshoot any issues that arise from production to delivery. Your keen eye for detail and commitment to excellence will be essential as you collaborate with various departments to ensure seamless operations across the logistics process.
Key Responsibilities (not limited to):
Logistics and Delivery Operations - Oversee and coordinate daily logistics activities to meet client requirements, including use of overnight parcel and pallet services, delivery scheduling, and engagement of third-party LGV services.
Team Supervision - Manage staff rotas, allocate workloads, supervise, train, and support team members to ensure high performance and compliance with company standards.
Stock and Production Coordination - Collaborate with the Production Planner, Print and Bindery Supervisors, and Goods In personnel to align logistics with production schedules and maintain accurate stock movements.
Continuous Improvement and Compliance - Implement and maintain efficient logistics processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure compliance with company policies, transport legislation, and health & safety regulations.
Reporting - Prepare operational reports for management and support audits and inspections relating to logistics and transport compliance.
Requirements:
Proven experience in logistics management, preferably within logistics, transport, manufacturing, or production-related industries.
Experience managing delivery schedules and working with third-party logistics providers.
Knowledge of transport regulations and compliance requirements.
Strong IT skills with practical experience in automation, WMS, ERP systems, and data-driven logistics.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a supervisory role or similar position.
A high level of self-confidence and self-motivation with the ability to work on own initiative and manage own workload.
Ability to improve quality & efficiency of work processes and drive implementation.
Exceptional organisational skills.
Diligent, structured, and organised approach to work – with the ability to multi-task and prioritise.
Ability to work in an everchanging, fast-paced environment.
A positive ‘can-do’ attitude with logical problem-solving skills.
Takes pride in own work, is thorough with excellent attention to detail.
Excellent command of English language (both written and verbal).
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels.
Able to work as part of a team as well as on own initiative.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 and associated programs.
Qualifications:
Must have a reasonable degree of education.

Renumeration:
£34,000 to £37,000 per annum (prorated)
