We are seeking an experienced and driven Plumbing and Heating Contracts Manager to oversee the successful delivery of multiple projects from tender through to completion for our client whos based in Swindon.
The role involves managing a range of commercial and domestic contracts, ensuring all works are completed safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities

Tendering & Quotations: Prepare and submit quotations/tenders in line with submission deadlines.

Procurement & Buying: Source materials and services for best value while maintaining quality standards.
*
Project Management: Oversee live projects to ensure targets, budgets, and quality expectations are consistently met.
*
Administration: Complete necessary administrative tasks such as approving job cards, managing documentation, and updating office systems.
*
Labour Management: Assess labour requirements, allocate resources effectively, and coordinate workforce planning through regular planning meetings.
*
Financial Oversight: Review supplier invoices against quotations and agreed terms; prepare and finalise project valuations, invoices, and stage payments by month-end.

Staff Management: Monitor staff performance, provide guidance, and identify training and development needs.
*
Communication: Liaise effectively with Commercial Operations regarding project progress, challenges, or any issues impacting delivery.
Skills & Experience
*
Proven experience in a Contracts Manager or Project Manager role within plumbing and heating
*
Strong technical understanding of plumbing and heating systems.
*
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
*
Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets and control costs.
*
Strong leadership, communication, and people management skills.
*
Proficient in Microsoft Office and general contract administration systems.
*
Full UK driving licence required.
