About the apprenticeship
Duties
As a teaching assistant, you would support teachers and help children with their educational and social development, both in the classroom and outside of it.Duties include:
Supporting learners with their Welsh language and literacy skills
Supporting students with additional learning needs (ALN)
Supporting students with their numeracy, literacy, and ICT skills
Supporting learners in the variety of areas in the classroom
Understanding the safeguarding and behaviour policy and their role within these policies
Promoting Welsh culture
Working with children aged 3-6 years
Supporting the teacher in various roles in the classroom
The ability to conduct oneself in a professional manner at all times while working in schools
Essential Criteria:
Must be fluent in Welsh
Desire to learn more about becoming a Teaching Assistant
Passion for working with children
Possess relevant qualities including patience and communication
The ability to demonstrate professionalism at all times
The ability to listen and learn from more experienced staff.
