As a Maintenance Facilities Engineer, you will prioritise health and safety in our work areas, ensuring strict adherence to protocols. Your responsibilities include conducting mechanical maintenance and repair tasks for plants, equipment, and facilities on-site, as well as handling installation and replacement procedures. You are also proficient in troubleshooting mechanical issues with plant machinery. From high-value projects to smaller improvements, you will manage machine and plant installations, replacements, and repairs. You will diligently follow prescribed schedules for planned preventative maintenance tasks. Additionally, you will take care of site facilities, including infrastructure, communal areas, and amenities like WCs, drainage, and groundworks. Lastly, you will make it a point to fulfil any reasonable requests from management.

Maintenance Facilities Engineer Requirements:
1. Ideally City & Guilds Mechanical Maintenance or similar discipline qualified
2. Time served apprenticeship or demonstrable equivalent experience.
3. Mechanical experience in manufacturing machines, involving hydraulics and pneumatics, fault finding and repair.
4. Proven welding and fabrication experience.
5. Some electrical experience and knowledge.
6. A positive, problem-solving attitude and willing to learn new skills.
7. Be able to contribute to and work within a small team, whilst still able to work on own initiative.
8. To be flexible with working hours to support planned repairs and unplanned breakdowns.
9. You may be required on occasion to perform Ad hoc responsibilities to support business needs.
10. Resourceful and able to adapt to changing priorities and maintain a positive attitude and possess a strong work ethic
Desirable:
Experience and knowledge of lean engineering principles and techniques. Previous experience working in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or automotive, particularly hot, and cold forming presses. Experience working with and supervising external contractors
