The Vacancy
We have an opportunity for a Key Account Director to join our Wates team within our Responsive Maintenance division. The role involves leading, developing, and growing existing and new customer accounts. You will be expected to provide an effective and professional service in line with the business unit sales plan, guiding principles, and customer account plans.
Key Accountabilities will include:
1. Develop and maintain strong professional relationships with potential, new, and existing customer contacts.
2. Set the strategy for developing relationships with other members of the Wates team and the client’s professional teams.
3. Work constructively with and support members of the Senior Leadership team to provide the best solutions and services for customers, taking collective responsibility for decisions, delivery, and outcomes.
4. Provide up-to-date and accurate information on forecast customer delivery plans (spend) and secure early visibility for future workloads.
5. Ensure the project/bid team fully understands the customer's brief by establishing their key drivers on scope, programme, and cost.
6. Maintain an updated Customer Action Plan for each account focused on profitable development and exceptional customer service.
7. Prepare and present monthly account performance reports.
To be successful in this role
You should have demonstrable customer-centric skills, experience in growing sales through long-term relationships in any industry, and strong leadership and sales development skills.
