Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by handling various tasks related to materials management, including stocking, picking and packing, and shipping and receiving. This position requires a strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
* Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
* Manage inventory using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate stock levels.
* Handle materials with care, including loading and unloading goods from lorries.
* Perform picking and packing of orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in order fulfilment.
* Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, verifying incoming and outgoing shipments against documentation.
* Maintain a clean and organised warehouse environment.
* Conduct regular stock checks and assist in inventory management.
* Utilise mechanical knowledge to perform basic maintenance on warehouse equipment as needed.
* Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols.
Requirements
* Previous warehouse experience is preferred but not mandatory.
* Proficiency in materials handling techniques.
* Familiarity with warehouse management systems, such as AS400, is advantageous.
* Ability to perform heavy lifting (up to 25 kg) as required by the role.
* Strong mechanical knowledge is beneficial for equipment operation and maintenance.
* Experience in construction or related fields is a plus.
* Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
