I'm currently speaking with several contractors across the Manchester to Liverpool corridor looking to strengthen their commercial teams due to project wins and continued growth across refurbishment, social housing and public sector works. These businesses are looking for commercially strong QSs who are comfortable managing projects properly - not just pushing paperwork around. Typical responsibilities include: CVRs & commercial reporting Variations & final accounts Procurement of subcontract packages Client-facing commercial management Cost control across live projects NEC and/or JCT contracts Projects typically range from £500k to £15m across refurbishment, planned maintenance, fit-out and regional construction works.
