About Our Client Our client operates in the financial services and wealth management sector. Role DescriptionWe are currently seeking an Interim Finance Manager to provide essential support during a particularly busy period. This is a 6-month fixed-term contract, with an immediate start preferred due to staff absences over the holiday season.You’ll play a key role in managing the day-to-day finance operations and ensuring the smooth running of core financial processes. The role would suit someone hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working at pace. You’ll need to be adaptable and able to step into a broad range of responsibilities with confidence.This is a great opportunity for an experienced finance professional to make an immediate impact within a friendly and supportive team.Essential Experience & Skills: To be successful in this role, you should have:
* A strong background in finance management, ideally within a similar interim or contract role.
* Solid experience in all core finance functions, including billing, accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and revenue recognition.
* Good working knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
* Experience using accounting software – Sage is particularly beneficial.
* A confident approach to preparing and presenting monthly financial statements and reports.
* The ability to manage cashflow, debt, and collections effectively.
* Strong understanding of audit processes and experience working with external auditors.
* A track record of improving finance systems and streamlining processes.
* Attention to detail and a strong grasp of internal controls and accounting policies.
A recognised accounting qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA) would be an advantage but is not strictly essential for this interim role.What’s on offer:
* Salary up to £70,000 per annum, pro rata for the 6-month contract.
