ROLE OVERVIEW:
The Cardo Group are currently recruiting Apprentice Multi-Trade Operatives to join our team based in the Kingston upon Thames area.
The Apprentice Multi-Trade Operative will work on a variety of property maintenance and repair tasks, learning multiple trades under the guidance of experienced professionals. This includes tasks like carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and electrical work, as well as general property maintenance. The apprenticeship combines on-the-job training with college studies to develop a broad range of skills.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Working alongside skilled tradespeople to carry out repairs and maintenance on buildings, including both planned and reactive work.
* Gaining experience and developing skills in various trades such as carpentry, plumbing, plastering, and electrical work.
* Contributing to the upkeep and repair of properties, including preparing void properties for new tenants.
* Working under the supervision of experienced tradespeople, learning new skills and techniques.
* Interacting with residents and other stakeholders in a professional and courteous manner.
* Adhering to all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
* Educational Background: 5 GCSEs (A-C or 4-9) including English and Maths, plus additional qualifications such as A Levels, BTEC, or T Level.
* Manual dexterity and practical skills: Required for carrying out physical tasks involved in property maintenance.
* Problem-solving skills: Ability to identify and address maintenance issues.
* Communication skills: Essential for interacting with colleagues, supervisors, and residents.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Being able to work under supervision and take initiative when required.
* Desire to learn and develop new skills: An eagerness to learn and progress within the chosen trade.
* Commitment to health and safety: Following safety procedures and regulations.
