Location: Village Vets, Potters Bar, Hertfordshire
Hours: Full time, 42 hours over a 4-day week (8.30-7.30), 1:3 Saturdays (8.30-4), and 1:12 Sundays at St Albans Hospital (8.30-6.30)
Salary: Up to £73,000 per annum, depending on experience
Village Vets Potters Bar is seeking an experienced Veterinary Surgeon and leader to develop and lead a small team of 2 Vets, RVNs, and CCA’s. The role offers a great GP caseload, with dedicated leadership and admin time, and monthly meetings with the Clinical Director.

What we are looking for:
* A strong leader with experience in senior or lead roles
* Strong surgical skills
* Understanding of finances, management, and business strategy
* Desirable: GDP advisor training or ability to issue animal health certificates
Key responsibilities:
* Support clinical delivery and maintain high standards
* Utilize team skills effectively and collaborate across the practice
* Support recruitment, training, and mentoring of the veterinary team
* Address performance issues empathetically and implement improvement plans
* Lead the veterinary team alongside the Clinical Director, working with the nursing team
