Van Pool Transportation LLCThe Vice President of Finance will play a key role in the finance department helping move forward financial initiatives for our company. This role is responsible for driving financial planning and analysis, overseeing billing and timekeeping operations, ensuring process accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making to fuel company growth. The ideal candidate brings deep financial acumen, leadership excellence, and a proactive approach to scaling financial systems and teams in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning
1. Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with company goals.
2. Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning processes.
3. Provide executive leadership with actionable insights based on data analysis and financial trends.
Overseeing Billing Department and Time and Attendance Department
4. Direct and improve the operations of the billing department to ensure accurate invoicing, timely collections, and strong client satisfaction.
5. Oversee the time and attendance function to ensure accurate labor tracking, payroll data preparation, and regulatory compliance.
6. Collaborate with HR, Operations, and IT to optimize systems and workflows in both departments.
Cash Flow & Capital Management
7. Monitor cash flow from operations and capital expenditures.
8. Optimize working capital and recommend strategies to support company liquidity.
Team Leadership
9. Build and lead a high-performing finance and administrative team.
10. Provide mentorship, coaching, and performance management.
Qualifications
11. Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA/CPA preferred).
12. 10+ years of progressive financial leadership experience, preferably in Transportation industry.
13. Five (5) years of supervisory experience.
14. Proven track record in FP&A, financial modeling, budgeting, and strategic planning.
15. Experience managing billing systems and timekeeping processes in a complex organizational environment.
16. Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
