Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to help deliver our regulatory responsibilities as the Enforcement Authority for the Reservoirs Act 1975 in England. The Reservoirs Act helps to ensure the safe operation and management of dams.
Responsibilities
* Monitor compliance with the Reservoirs Act 1975 for the 2140 reservoirs in England.
* Manage day-to-day correspondence and record incoming documentation on our database to ensure records are accurate and up to date.
* Encourage compliance when reports or certificates are not received as expected.
* Be the first point of contact for reservoir owners and panel engineers.
* Provide information and advice on the requirements of the Act.
Team and role
You will join the Environmental Assessment and Reservoir Regulation department, part of the Flood & Coastal Risk Management (FCRM) Directorate. The Reservoir Regulation team is a nationally dispersed team comprising 25+ individuals responsible for the regulation of the more than 2140 large raised reservoirs in England. Some travel and overnight stays will be required.

Working pattern and location
This role is a part-time job share (22.2 hours per week). It is a national role so you can be based at any Environment Agency office. Some travel and overnight stays may be required.
Training & duties
Everyone that joins us is required to undertake training and participate in incident response duties when the need to respond arises. Having an incident role is an essential part of working for the Environment Agency and a proactive way to support communities and protect the environment.
