The postholder will be a key member of the Divisional Senior Management team. The successful candidate will be an operational manager with responsibility for the neurology, rheumatology, neurophysiology, neuropsychology and neuropsychiatry (Cluster 3) departments within the Division of Neurosciences.
* Work closely with the Specialty Leads, Matron and Divisional Triumvirate to ensure high levels of performance in the delivery of key objectives.
* Lead specialty development and implementation of the annual Operational Plan incorporating activity, access, financial investment and efficiency savings, workforce, quality targets and ensuring that the plans can be delivered within existing or planned resources.
* Identify and deliver annual cash releasing efficiency savings agreed with the DoD as a contribution to the Division's annual savings target.
* Participate in the manager of the day bed rota within Division.
* Participate in the planning and management of capital projects, as required.
* Participate in management on-call rota.
