As a Community of Practice Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting and enhancing a national community of practice. Your focus will be on specific activities or areas within the community, ensuring efforts align with national standards and priorities while avoiding duplication. The role within the Logistics Community of Practice will concentrate on logistics planning, delivery, and support to counties and networks. Please note that there are five geographical roles: NE & NW, EMR & WMR, East of England, London, SE & SW.
You will be asked which geography you are applying for. Your role will include providing leadership, management, and subject matter expertise to grow and develop logistics capabilities in planning and delivery within your designated area. You will work in support of the Logistics Manager and in partnership with regional, specialist, county, and network partners to build and inspire an effective team. This team will deliver logistics input to operational and non-operational activities, ensuring the right equipment is in the right place at the right time in a cost-effective manner.
As a Community of Practice Officer, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the Community of Practice Lead in coordinating community activities.
* Focusing on specific areas within the community of practice.
* Assisting in delivering impactful initiatives and projects.
* Fostering collaboration and professional engagement.
* Championing inclusivity and supporting community members.
* Contributing to the overall success and development of the community.

Interviews will be held the week following the advert's closure. Selection will be based on the application form, demonstrating how the candidate meets the role requirements. Due to the seniority of the role, candidates must detail their relevant experience and how they meet the specifics of the role description (RD). Once shortlisted and interviewed, no further selection event will be required. Interviews will be conducted via Teams, with a panel including the Senior Logistics Team Lead, National Operations Advisor or CoP Lead, and one other panel member TBC.
A local and specific induction will be arranged for the successful candidate, based on their previous SJA experience and needs. An informal meeting with the National Advisor for Operations, Logistics Manager, and CoP Lead will follow shortly after appointment to address any onboarding requirements.
