Job Opportunity: Electrical Engineering Lecturer
Make UK is seeking skilled electrical professionals to join their team in providing essential training to the next generation of engineers. As a further education provider, Make UK offers an engaging workplace where you can mentor and guide Manufacturing & Engineering apprentices.
The role involves developing and delivering engineering courses, including Pearson BTEC National Diplomas, EAL Vocational Awards, and City and Guilds qualifications, teaching electrical skills up to level 3.
Applications are welcome from industry professionals interested in transitioning into education. Training will be provided.
Responsibilities include:
1. Developing schemes of work, lesson plans, and assessments
2. Creating course materials such as handouts and reference guides
3. Delivering practical training to apprentices and adult learners
4. Creating a motivating learning environment
5. Assessing learner progress and providing feedback and reports
Required skills and experience:
* Time-served apprentice, City and Guilds (Part 3), or equivalent qualification
* Level 3 (or higher) teaching qualification (preferred)
* Desirable: A1 and V1 qualifications
* Industrial experience and current industry knowledge (preferred)
* Strong presentation and communication skills
Additional Information:
This position is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. The successful candidate must agree to an enhanced DBS check and provide satisfactory references. It is a criminal offence to apply if barred from working in this sector.
