Our client, a prominent player in the aerospace sector, is currently seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join their team in Havant on an initial 6 month fixed-term contract. The primary function of this role is to support plant leadership in achieving business and financial goals by developing and maintaining robust manufacturing and quality processes and leading continuous improvement initiatives across the organisation. The role is pivotal in executing the organisation's strategic plan in line with regulations, industry standards, and customer requirements. Key Responsibilities: Act as the liaison between the Manufacturing Cell and other groups including the NPI team, customers, and suppliers for manufacturing and quality engineering issues throughout the product lifecycle. Participate in New Product Introduction projects, ensuring internal and external product and process requirements are met. Develop and maintain robust, cost-efficient manufacturing processes consistent with Lean Manufacturing methodologies. Utilise appropriate statistical methodologies to evaluate and reduce product, people, and process variation, maintaining effective PFMEAs, Control Plans, and SOPs through systematic reviews.
