Overview
This is an exciting opportunity to deliver Library services as part of the Student Service Centre, part of the new Student and Campus Life service. In our Student Service Centre we help students navigate their whole journey, providing a coherent route and common experience for all student enquiries. Offering information and access to services covering all aspects of student life; from academic and learning resources to financial, physical and mental wellbeing through to residential and all other aspects of student life.
Responsibilities
* Provide direct enquiry support for a diverse range of library users both online and in person.
* Based at the Frenchay library with weekly reporting and support at Glenside and Bower Ashton libraries to assist the teams there.
* Act as a line manager for staff, monitoring and allocating work, supporting the induction and training of new staff and carrying out performance development reviews.
* Build and maintain relationships with other colleagues and services across the University to share information and ensure students have the best possible journey.

* Experience of managing and supervising staff and collaborating with others.
* Experience of working in a library environment.
* Excellent IT skills and experience of email, MS Office applications and other digital tools.
* Innovative about change and developing services.
* Passionate about delivering inclusive support and ensuring that students get the best out of university.
Where this role is based
This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources. You would also work regularly at our City Campus in Bristol city centre (Bower Ashton Studios, Arnolfini, Spike Island and Watershed) and at Glenside Campus in Stapleton.

UWE Bristol is campus-based; this role is campus-based for at least 80 percent of your time, with occasional work from home subject to business need. Salary offers are in line with the University's salary assessment guidelines and based on relevant skills and experience. Right to Work in the UK: evidence of eligibility to live and work in the UK is required. Sponsorship for this role under the Home Office Skilled Worker visa route is not available.
