Core subject (Maths, English, or Science) SEN/SEND Tutors for Young People with SEND, SEMH, and other Additional Educational Needs required in Somerset/Bristol. Multiple positions are available, and hiring is ongoing to meet the wide variety of needs we support. We aim to transform the quality of education for young people with SEN (Special Education Needs)/SEND (Special Education Needs and Disabilities), as well as SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs. We are increasingly supporting children with MLD (Moderate Learning Difficulties) and SLD (Severe Learning Difficulties).
We are looking for SEN/SEND tutors with a passion for transforming the lives of disengaged, at-risk, and vulnerable learners in Somerset/Bristol. At Targeted Provision, our mission is to raise educational support standards for vulnerable young people in the UK. You will be supported by our team of SEN/SEND Support Specialists throughout every placement.
This role is ideal for qualified SEN/SEND teachers eager to work via 1:1 tutoring with children and young people with various learning needs, using creative, flexible, holistic, and trauma-informed approaches to boost engagement and improve their educational outlook.

SEN/SEND Tutor tasks and responsibilities:
* Planning engaging sessions tailored to individual needs
* Providing holistic support to advance educational and social-emotional development
* Completing reports and providing feedback on progress
* Engaging as a Worker for short-term engagements
* Working through a contract for service paid via PAYE
* Insurance coverage provided; this is not a self-employed position

Minimum qualifications and experience:
* Professional Teaching Qualifications (QTS/QTLS)
* Minimum 2 years teaching experience
* Experience with SEND, SEMH, MLD, SLD, or similar needs
* Understanding of safeguarding procedures
* Enhanced DBS (assistance available if needed)
* Two professional references
* Right to work in the UK
