About the role
Join our dynamic team of skilled mechanical & electrical engineers and maintenance pros, keeping our fleet moving safely. The successful Mechanic will be responsible for the following duties:
* Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
* Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
* Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand held data capture devices if applicable
* Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries
* Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
Working hours: Alternating shifts
* mid-week 07:00 - 16:30, and 06:00 - 15:30
Hourly Pay rate: £20.50 p/hour
About you
* Do you have at minimum a Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent qualification as a mechanic and experience working on HG, bus or coach?
* Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
* A PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this)
* Do you have a valid UK driver's licence?
* Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV)
* Do you have vehicle/autoelectrical experience/knowledge?
