Shift Pattern: 24 hours per week - Days and Waking nights - 8:00am-20:00pm and 20:00pm-8:00am
Are you a compassionate and committed individual looking to make a real difference in someone's life? We are seeking female Support Workers to join a dedicated care team providing one-to-one support for a girl living in her family home.
About The Role
This is a rewarding opportunity to support a bright and engaging young person who lives with multiple complex medical and physical needs, including:
* Epilepsy, Perisylvian Polymicrogyria, and Bulbar Cerebral Palsy
* Severe developmental delay and non-verbal communication
* Motor impairments affecting upper and lower limbs
* Feeding and medication needs via PEG-J
* High risk of aspiration and compromised airways
* Full assistance required for mobility, repositioning, and personal care
The individual enjoys attending school full-time, has a good sense of humour, and communicates through smiling, laughing, and expressive behaviours.
What You'll Be Doing
* Providing safe and respectful care in the home and community
* Supporting all aspects of daily living, including personal care and mobility
* Monitoring for signs of distress, aspiration, or seizures
* Administering feeds and medications according to established regimes
* Using moving and handling techniques safely and confidently
* Supporting comfort and wellbeing throughout the day and night
What We’re Looking For
* Previous experience with complex needs, cerebral palsy, or PEG feeding is desirable
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Someone calm, observant, and reliable with a genuine interest in supporting children and young people
* A team player who respects family routines and values person-centred care
* Must be female (exempt under the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1)
