Due to our continuing success and continued expansion of our Building Surveying team in Manchester, we are looking for a passionate and driven Chartered Building Surveyor to join us. The role includes:
* Lead & develop detailed briefs in conjunction with the client and senior colleagues
* Establish & maintain client relationships
* Support business development activities by senior colleagues
* Carry out site surveys (including measured surveys, condition surveys & defect analysis)
* Produce designs and specifications, including preparation of tender documentation
* Administer building contracts (JCT and NEC)
* Undertake all aspects of professional surveying work, including condition surveys, specific defect analysis, party wall consultancy, dilapidations, insurance inspections and claims advice, and reinstatement cost assessment valuations
* Liaise with clients, contractors & other consultants (internal and external)
* Assist the team leader with project finances, recruitment, mentoring and team leadership
Qualifications
* Relevant degree qualified – RICS approved
* MRICS chartered
* Experience advising on commercial, healthcare or educational properties in the public or private sector
* Good AutoCAD and/or Revit skills
* Competent with NBS Chorus
* Full UK driving licence
The role will require you to be the key point of contact with our prestigious clients, therefore a high level of communication skills and commercial awareness are essential. You must be analytical, have excellent written and oral skills, and be capable of eventually managing individual team members, organising their project work and assisting them on projects.
