Role Overview
They are seeking a talented and ambitious Junior Private Equity Lawyer (1-3 PQE) to join our London office. The successful candidate will work closely with market-leading partners and a dynamic, high-performing team on complex and high-profile private equity transactions, M&A deals, and corporate matters. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop expertise in a fast-paced and rewarding environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Assisting with private equity transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, secondary transactions, and co-investments.
* Drafting and negotiating key transactional documents, including share purchase agreements, investment agreements, and shareholder agreements.
* Conducting due diligence, risk assessment, and managing transaction documentation.
* Liaising with clients, investment banks, and financial institutions to ensure smooth execution of deals.
* Supporting senior associates and partners on complex corporate matters and business development initiatives.
* Staying up to date with legal and market developments affecting private equity and corporate transactions.
Key Requirements
* Qualifications: Qualified as a solicitor in England & Wales (or equivalent jurisdiction).
* Experience: 1-3 years PQE gained in a leading corporate or private equity team, ideally at a top-tier UK or US law firm.
* Technical Skills: Strong understanding of private equity, M&A, and corporate law principles with experience in drafting key transactional documents.
* Commercial Acumen: Ability to navigate complex transactions and provide pragmatic, solution-driven advice to clients.
* Attention to Detail: High level of accuracy and ability to manage multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.
