Historic England has a fantastic opportunity for you to join us as our Personal Assistant to the Regional Director South West.
This role is ideal for someone with experience in personal assistance, administration, project support, or coordination.
This is a Full Time, Fixed Term Contract until 31 March 2026.
The role is based in Bristol with hybrid working arrangements, combining office and home working.

What you will be doing
You will support the Regional Director (and Head of Region as needed), ensuring the office runs smoothly. You will work with administrative colleagues and specialists to provide support to the regional office.
Your responsibilities include proactive diary management, scheduling meetings and site visits, managing correspondence, and tracking actions arising from communications.
Who we are looking for
* Experience in secretarial, administrative, or office organization roles
* High accuracy, attention to detail, excellent written and spoken English, editing, and proofreading skills
* Ability to build effective working relationships
* Strong organizational and planning skills, experience managing changing diaries or event planning
* Ability to work under pressure, juggle multiple tasks, and manage conflicting demands
* Experience maintaining and improving office systems
* Proactive, adaptable, and flexible approach to work
