As a Service Engineer at Hexagon Metrology, you will play a crucial role in supporting our customers by delivering expert technical services across our Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) product line. You will be the face of Hexagon in the field, ensuring systems are installed, calibrated, and maintained to the highest standard.

Job Responsibilities
Field Operations
• Carry out installation, commissioning, preventative maintenance, calibration, and decommissioning of CMM equipment.
• Diagnose and repair faults at the component or module level, covering both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Produce clear, detailed service documentation and reports following site visits.
Customer Engagement
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor during all phases of the service process.
• Support coordination and scheduling efforts to streamline service delivery.
Team & Knowledge Sharing
• Mentor junior engineers and apprentices, promoting technical excellence.
• Collaborate with internal departments and OEMs to address complex issues and support continuous improvement.
Compliance & Administration
• Adhere to all safety protocols and quality procedures.
• Uphold the company's ethical standards and core values in all professional activities.
Qualifications
Technical Requirements
• Recognised qualification in mechanical or electrical engineering (HNC/HND/NVQ/Apprenticeship or equivalent).
• Minimum of 4 years’ hands-on experience servicing industrial machinery or CNC systems.
• Proficient in fault diagnosis and technical troubleshooting.
Skills & Attributes
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT proficiency, particularly in Windows environments.
• Logical, practical mindset with strong problem-solving ability.
• Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and adapt to dynamic schedules.
• Willingness to travel regularly within the UK and occasionally across Europe.
