Overview
Have you ever wanted to work for the NHS and make a difference? Do you have experience of working in a busy office environment? Then this may be the role for you. We have a full‑time position available on our busy acute ward at Bowmere Hospital. We are looking for an experienced administrator to make this role their own and play an active part in our multidisciplinary team.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide quality and comprehensive administrative support to the Ward Manager and Ward Team, medical staff and multi‑disciplinary teams.
* Act as the go‑to person for administrative enquiries, including patient records, stock ordering, data acquisition and reporting, auditing and mandatory training booking.
* Support the Administration Team on the ward and, where required, minute meetings.
* Manage your time effectively, be proactive in handling conflicting deadlines and demands.
Qualifications & Skills
* Strong IT skills; proficient with Microsoft applications and NHS‑specific systems such as System One, ESR, NHS Supply Chain and IPROC (training will be provided).
* Prior experience in a busy office or healthcare environment.
* Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Pay & Induction
* The Trust supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.
* All new starters will commence on a fixed start date each month in line with the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme. P2C offers up to three weeks of training to support you in meeting the induction and initial training requirements of the role.
* New entrants to the NHS will commence on the minimum of the scale stated above.
