About the Role
As a Senior Support Worker, youll do more than just lead. Youll inspire. Youll provide hands-on support while also guiding and coaching your team to deliver consistently high standards of care and support. Whether its creating meaningful rotas, supporting with medication or coaching colleagues through day-to-day challenges, your leadership will set the tone.
Youll work closely with our Frontline Manager, helping to maintain the smooth running of the service and making sure every person we support is safe, happy and thriving. Youll also supervise team members, conduct observations, provide constructive feedback and identify training needs that help everyone grow in confidence and skill.

The people we support lead vibrant lives full of activity, connection and joy. From bowling and singing to gardening and community events, your role will involve encouraging and supporting each person to stay active, involved and engaged.
We believe support doesnt stop at the front door. A key part of your role will be developing our Everyone Everywhere initiative, raising awareness of MacIntyre within the local community and supporting people to take part, contribute and feel truly included.
Youll also play a vital role in promoting health and wellbeing, noticing and responding to any changes in health needs with care and sensitivity.
Who Were Looking For
Were looking for someone with experience supporting people with learning disabilities, who brings a warm, patient and person-centred approach. Youll be confident working independently as well as part of a team, and able to support others through reflection, encouragement and clear communication. Youll be someone who leads by example, brings calm and positivity to even the busiest days, and genuinely finds purpose in helping others live their best lives.
This is a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) with a rota that includes early (07:30 to 15:00) and late (14:30 to 22:00) shifts, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins. About you
This role would suit someone who is passionate about supporting others; expressing new and creative ideas and who has a kind and caring nature. This would also suit someone looking for that next step in their career, from experienced support worker to Senior.
You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
