About This Role
Leader Group is partnering with a Therapeutic Education Service provider to recruit passionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants. The role involves mentoring, supporting, and inspiring learners with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) aged 11 - 17, in 1-1 or small group settings. You will assist in preparing learning materials, support the delivery of learning objectives, maintain a focus on behavioural management, and provide daily progress reports. You will also interact with parents/caregivers.
Responsibilities
* Mentoring and supporting students with SEND in the classroom, through home tuition, outreach, and outdoor activities
* Assisting in the preparation of learning materials and supporting the delivery of learning objectives
* Maintaining a strong focus on behavioural management and promoting a positive learning environment
* Writing daily reports on students\' progress and identifying barriers to learning
* Regular communication with parents/caregivers to update on students\' progress
Our Ideal Candidate Will Have
* A passionate and committed approach to working with students with SEND
* At least two years of experience working in a SEND environment or similar provision/unit
* A Level 3 TA qualification is advantageous but not essential
* Excellent communication skills and the ability to build strong relationships with students, parents, and staff
