Do you have Purchasing experience in an Engineering/ Manufacturing Environment? A rapidly growing engineering and manufacturing business is currently expanding its purchasing function and looking for an experienced Purchaser to join the team. Reporting to the Head of Supply Chain, you will join a rapidly growing Buying team, supporting procurement activities across a range of engineering components and materials. The Role: Manage procurement activities within assigned supplier categories. Purchase engineering components and materials to support manufacturing output. Utilise the company's MRP system to plan and manage purchasing requirements. Monitor stock levels and maintain appropriate minimum stock thresholds. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers. Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials to meet production schedules. Manage supplier spend within an annual purchasing range of approximately £2m-£6m. Support continuous improvement within the supply chain and purchasing processes. About You: 3+ years' experience in a purchasing / buyer role. Experience working with MRP systems in a manufacturing environment. Exposure to purchasing within engineering or manufacturing businesses. Strong organisational and supplier management skills. Experience in steel purchasing or similar engineering materials is desirable. Category management experience. What's in it for you?
