Registered Nurse and First Aider - Secondary School - Wellingborough Location: Wellingborough, Northamptonshire Contract: Full-time, Long-term (with potential to become permanent) Start Date: ASAP Salary: £130 - £150 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Tradewind Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Registered Nurse and First Aider to join a friendly and inclusive secondary school in the Wellingborough area. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified nurse who is passionate about supporting the health and wellbeing of young people in an educational setting. About the Role As the Registered Nurse and First Aider, your responsibilities will include: Providing high-quality first aid and medical care to students and staff. Managing health care plans, maintaining accurate medical records, and ensuring the safe storage of medication. Administering prescribed medication and monitoring ongoing medical needs. Offering health and wellbeing advice to students, including guidance on hygiene, nutrition, and mental health. Liaising with parents, carers, and healthcare professionals regarding student health concerns. Supporting the implementation of school health and safety policies and assisting with staff first aid training. Requirements Registered Nurse (RGN or equivalent) - essential. Valid NMC registration. Up-to-date First Aid at Work qualification (or willingness to obtain one). Experience working with children or young people (school or community setting preferred).
