RESPONSIBILITIES: Prepare correspondence and documents through dictation, word processing and be IT literate, and able to work as part of a team but also under your own initiative. Provide comprehensive administrative support to legal professionals, including managing calendars and scheduling appointments. Prepare, proofread, and format legal documents using Microsoft Word and Excel. Conduct audio typing for legal correspondence and documentation. Maintain an organised filing system for both physical and electronic documents. Communicate with clients and other organisations as required, ensuring professionalism at all times. Utilise IT systems effectively to manage information and support office operations. Perform general office duties such as answering telephones, managing correspondence, and maintaining office supplies. Administer filing which will include daily filing and the opening, closing, storage and retrieval of client files in accordance with the detailed procedures contained in the office manual. Making appointments, arrange meetings and to maintain an up-to-date diary for their (his/her) principal. Flexible to cover other legal secretaries around the business.
