Senior Software Developer (Java)

Security Clearance

Key Responsibilities
* Design, develop, and maintain enterprise‑level Java applications using Spring Boot
* Collaborate with clients and teams to define and deliver robust, scalable solutions
* Contribute to all stages of the software development lifecycle
* Lead Agile ceremonies and support continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure code quality and maintainability through reviews and testing
* Mentor junior developers and foster a culture of collaboration and learning
* Engage with stakeholders to align technical outcomes with business goals
Essential Qualifications
* Proven experience in Java development (Java 8 or higher)
* Strong knowledge of Spring Boot and RESTful API development
* Experience with Agile methodologies using Jira, Confluence, and Git
* Strong understanding of software engineering best practices and testing
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
* Experience mentoring or leading technical teams
Desirable Qualifications
* Experience in IT consulting or client‑facing roles
* Knowledge of AWS, Azure, or GCP
* Familiarity with containerisation tools (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines
* Exposure to microservices architecture and API integration
