Job Title: Electrical Engineering Lead
This is a critical leadership role where you will be responsible for driving improvements in safety, asset reliability, and production performance. The successful candidate will oversee systems from generation and HV distribution to state-of-the-art instrumentation and control systems.
* Act as the site's lead authority for all electrical engineering activities.
* Provide leadership to the control and instrumentation team to enhance system performance and reliability.
* Support teams with technical guidance to ensure compliance and performance standards.
* Implement and manage internal standards and procedures, including DSEAR compliance.
* Line manage and mentor the Electrical & Instrument Support Manager, contributing to team development and succession planning.
* Maintain a strategic plan for asset management of electrical and control systems.
* Lead by example, promoting a strong safety culture and high-performance behaviours.
Requirements:
* HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
* Technically competent to be authorised as a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) for 11kV systems.
* Proven experience with electrical and control systems in a complex industrial environment.
* Familiarity with systems including MCCs, VSDs, PLCs, DCS, and industrial instrumentation.
* NEBOSH Certificate is advantageous but not essential.
