HR Advisor – Hyde | Manufacturing Environment
If you’re an HR generalist who thrives where the pace is real and the impact is tangible, this role belongs on your radar.
We’re looking for a credible, hands-on HR Advisor to strengthen people operations across a high-performing manufacturing site. You’ll partner directly with the HR Business Partner to improve people metrics, embed best practices, and elevate the employee experience end-to-end.
This is a role for someone who wants breadth, responsibility, and genuine influence—not admin disguised as HR.
What You’ll Own
You’ll be the go-to advisor for managers and colleagues across the site, with accountability for:
Employee Relations
Managing conduct, capability, grievance, and disciplinary cases with confidence, fairness, and legal integrity.
People Metrics & Planning
Driving KPIs, including absence, retention, turnover, and agency usage. Partnering with Ops, Talent, and L&D to deliver people plans that actually move the dial.
Policies & Employment Law
Guiding managers through policy, compliance, and risk—ensuring decisions are consistent, pragmatic, and aligned to UK employment law.
Absence Management
Leading sickness processes end-to-end and supporting improvement plans.
Ethical Compliance & Audits
Supporting customer, ethical, and SEDEX audits to maintain strong standards and documentation.
Learning, Safety & Wellbeing
Championing HSE initiatives, training compliance, wellbeing, and engagement activities.
Recruitment & Onboarding
Partnering with Hiring Managers and Talent teams to ensure smooth, high-quality hiring and induction.
Projects & Continuous Improvement
Driving HR projects, improvement activity, and commercial decision-making that supports site performance.
What Good Looks Like
• Proven experience in a HR Advisor / HR Generalist role
• Strong grounding in UK employment law
• Confident supporting managers at all levels
• Skilled in HR systems, data accuracy, and documentation
• Practical, solutions-driven, and comfortable supporting a manufacturing workforce
Desirable: CIPD qualification and experience in food manufacturing
The Behaviours That Matter
Approachable. Honest. Commercial. Consistent.
You take ownership. You follow through. And you care about creating a fair, safe, and engaged environment.
Why This Role?
You won’t just “support HR.”
You’ll shape culture. Reduce risk. Strengthen performance.
And directly influence outcomes that matter to both people and the business.
