Job Purpose

As part of our Retail Team, the Sales Associate is responsible for creating a client experience that accurately reflects the ethos of our brand while building and maintaining strong client relationships and driving sales through outstanding service. The ideal candidate is committed to client service, demonstrating a strong understanding of, if not passion for, luxury, travel, fashion, and lifestyle markets. Job Description

Position: Sales Associate – 40 hours per week

Location: TUMI Bicester Village Store, Unit 76, Village, Pingle Dr, Bicester OX26 6WD

Availability: November 2025


Responsibilities

* Introduce customers to the TUMI collection and provide expert product advice.
* Deliver excellent customer service combined with strong sales skills and empathy for traveling customers.
* Handle cash register operation and billing.
* Ensure high‑quality products are presented in an inviting manner according to guidelines.
* Support internal events and promotions enthusiastically.
* Offer product advice and demonstrations to ensure a friendly shopping experience.
* Introduce selling benefits and features of merchandise.
* Maximise sales through product knowledge and add‑on sales.
* Maintain knowledge of store layout, products, and stock availability.
* Handle customer complaints and phone queries tactfully, in line with Company Policy.
* Process transactions efficiently and professionally, adhering to Company Procedures.
* Maintain awareness of sales promotions, incentives, and product brochures.
* Keep abreast of all sales figures, targets and bonuses on a daily/weekly/period basis.
* Process deliveries, communicate discrepancies, and keep stockrooms organised.
* Assist in merchandising and display maintenance.
* Read and action Head Office communications and assist in stock counts.
* Report security issues and remain vigilant with stock and money.
* Maintain high store standards, cleaning and fixture care.
* Handle phone enquiries and ensure all messages are communicated.
* Perform stock and personnel administration as directed.
* Attend training and adhere to attendance policy.


Requirements

* Initial professional experience in retail, preferably premium sector.
* Passion for selling premium products.
* Good understanding of English; additional language skills a plus.
* Enthusiastic about TUMI products.
* Pleasant and approachable sales personality.
* Well‑groomed and professional appearance.
* Microsoft Office knowledge (Outlook, Word, Excel).
* Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 15 kilos frequently.
* Computer literate.
* Target driven, team player, and motivator.
* Brand sensibility and flexibility.
