We provide tailored education for 7-18 year olds with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Our mission is to create a nurturing environment where every pupil can thrive.
About Us
At Selwyn Hall School, we believe in the power of personalized education. Our small class sizes, with groups of just 4-6 children, ensure that each pupil receives the attention they need to succeed. Our expansive private grounds offer a therapeutic setting, complete with:

Your Role
As a vital member of our team, you will:
* Mentor and support one pupil or a small group of no more than six
* Assist the Classroom Teacher during lessons
* Report on pupils' progress and collaborate with staff to meet their needs
* Supervise pupils during non-classroom activities, including school trips
* Help with lesson planning and classroom preparation
* Build positive relationships to drive interaction and learning outcomes
What We’re Looking For
To thrive in this role, you should have:
* A strong educational background, ideally to A-level, with at least GCSE Grade C or equivalent in English Language and Mathematics
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a similar role
* Familiarity with working with pupils with SEMH in an educational setting
* Confidence to take on additional responsibilities (e.g., Food Hygiene, Forest School, School Yoga)
* Experience in behavior management techniques
* A commitment to professional development and a willingness to learn
* A readiness to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) check

Contract: Fixed Term (1 year) Full-Time Term Time Only
Salary: £21,257.48 - £23,232.69
Location: Foxton, Cambridge
