Role Overview
Astute's Power Team is recruiting a Mechanical Fitter to join the EPC Contractor on the new build OCGT plant based in Lincolnshire on a 4‑month contract.
Responsibilities
- Carry out the installation, maintenance, repair and alignment of mechanical equipment and plant systems in accordance with engineering drawings and project specifications.
- Close out mechanical punch list items, ensuring all outstanding work is completed safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Perform equipment adjustments, repairs, overhauls and assembly activities on pumps, valves, rotating equipment, conveyors and associated mechanical systems.
- Support commissioning, testing and fault‑finding activities to ensure mechanical systems are fully operational and ready for handover.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, P&IDs and manufacturer documentation to support installation and maintenance works.
Qualifications
- Experience within Power Plant Repair & Maintenance environments (Coal, GT, CCGT) and/or large‑scale new‑build energy and industrial construction projects.
Location & Compensation
Lincolnshire.
£26.00 to £30.00 per hour CIS
Immediate start date.
4 months.
