Job Title: Senior Mechanical Design Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW
We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to lead aspects of design, development, testing, and maintainability for the highest quality Safety Critical Products. The role involves substantiating designs through relevant calculations and collaborating within a dynamic, multidisciplinary team.
This innovative company is developing products that tackle complex engineering challenges across various technologies, including control systems, dynamics, hydraulics, motors, generators, sensors, electronics, and software. The operating environments are demanding, featuring high pressure, high temperature, shocks, vibrations, erosion, and corrosion.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Review and approve engineering drawings and documentation.
Design and develop mechanical assemblies.
Support designs with appropriate calculations.
Create test setups and conduct experiments to validate designs.
Participate in shop floor testing activities.
Prepare detailed documentation including design reports, test summaries, manufacturing specifications, and user guides.
Collaborate with manufacturing teams and address supplier inquiries.
Prioritize tasks effectively to meet project goals.
Perform additional duties as required to support team objectives. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on design and engineering experience.
Strong knowledge of materials and their properties.
Proficiency with 3D CAD software, preferably Creo.
Familiarity with coatings and surface treatments.
Proficiency in static Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
Ability to specify and interpret dynamic FEA results.
Experience with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) studies.
Understanding of manufacturing processes
